Carmel Ceramica was founded in 2014 when Elece Leverone decided to merge her two passions, business and product design, into a new gift and tabletop venture. 

Elece’s business background is founder and owner of an information technology company in Los Angeles.  In recent years, Elece became enamored with the artistic side of life.  Upon moving to Carmel, California she began studying ceramics at the local college.  Elece enjoyed this so much that she built a studio in her barn and began creating prototypes.  As the ideas snowballed the inspiration grew to start Carmel Ceramica.
